Steam generation urged for EOR in Gulf
“With gas getting increasingly constrained and expensive to produce throughout Gulf region, governments and countrywide oil companies must consider hot steam generation for enhanced oil recuperation (EOR), said an industry expert.

Milton Venetos, a specialist in thermodynamics and modeling, explained that economic and environment burdens must be applied to fuel-fired hot steam generators to account for true macro-economic implications and create a fair comparison root.
“Many believe waste heat from your local neighborhood power plant is free, and therefore the hot steam it produces is also free. Frankly, producing steam from cogeneration depends on the price of natural gas, since the unwanted matter heat could be used to produce good luck or to desalinate water without consuming a lot more fuel, ” said Venetos.
